Whilst we were exhibiting at the Association of Police Fleet Managers Exhibition in August this year, Richard Baker - Director of Surefire 1, approached us. He expressed a great interest in our Inflatable Temporary Buildings and enquired whether we would be interested in sponsoring Surefire 1 with an Inflatable Temporary Building to be used to house the vehicles whilst touring and assisting Quicksilver for the World Water Speed Record.

We are world record holders ourselves, currently holding the World Record for manufacturing the largest Bouncy Castle 19m Square and 12m High. We jumped to the opportunity to help and be involved in a British World Record attempt which after seeing the car in action have no doubt that the Rover MG-ZT will be the NEW record holder and that are be proud that Southern Inflatables (UK) Ltd was involved.

RECORD ATTEMPT

THE SUREFIRE I MG-ZT FIRECHASE IS

PREPARING FOR A HIGH SPEED RUN ON

PENDINE SANDS OR MILLBROOK TO

CAPTURE THE CURRENT SPEED RECORD

FOR A FIRE TENDER. THIS WILL JUSTIFY AN

ENTRY IN THE GUINNESS BOOK OF RECORDS.

PROJECT LEADER RICHARD BAKER SAYS THAT

THE ATTEMPT WILL TAKE PLACE AS SOON AS

THE FINANCE AND SPONSORSHIP IS COMPLETE.

THE CHALLENGE IS TO BEAT THE JAGUAR XJ12

FIRETENDER, WHICH HOLDS THE CURRENT

RECORD AT 135 MPH.
