How to create a PayPal button for your website so that you customers can pay their deposits

Creating a PayPal “buy now” button, or “add to cart” button, for your website is actually very straightforward. But you do need a Premier or Business PayPal account. (You will NOT be able to do it, if you just have a personal PayPal account).

You can create an additional PayPal account (premier or business), and STILL use your personal PayPal account for your eBay purchases etc. – but you will need to use a different email address for your premier or business account.

Log into your PayPal account at www.paypal.co.uk or www.PayPal.com .

The 4th blue tab on the left will say “Merchant Services” click on it.

You will then see a heading which says “Start accepting payments”

The choose “Sell single items” which will create a “Buy Now” button.

Alternatively, click on “Sell multiple items” which will create an “add to cart” button.

Next, go through the screen prompts and it will generate some HTML code for you which you then need to copy and paste into your website.

Once this has been done, then the appropriate PayPal button will show up on your website, and customers will be able to start paying for their bookings (and/or their deposits) directly through PayPal.
